Do you know any of these people? They start talking to you, and you find it difficult to escape unless you cut them off at some point, and tell them you have to go. If left to their own devices, they would talk to you until the world ended.

Apparently they love hearing the sound of their own voice. And they don't see that you're rolling your eyes, shifting positions every 5 seconds, etc. :disgust:

Meet those people all the time riding public transportation to/from work.

Just ignore them unless it's a hot woman, in which case you carefully remove your wedding band.

Yeah I think it's a smart idea to pay $150/mo for parking vs a $40 bus pass.

Ann Arbor has free commuter lots for students - I can ride almost any route for freeeeeeeee!

LOL I could do without the "hot women" besides they're few and far between.

If parking didn't cost a nut and a kidney, I'd gladly drive to work everyday.

But Ann Arbor/UM has two bus companies - the U of M buses, which do on-campus routes, and AATA, which does citywide routes - so I can go to North AA, South AA, or even other towns - I just have to park and board the bus from several lots in the city. Considering that full-fare is $1, I'm saving a buttload.

We have a guy like this at work. It gets so bad, that we have telephone rescue system set up. If you see someone being cornered by him, you call the person on the phone. They then have an out 'I gotta go get that'. You just have to pray he doesnt come over to you next!

i know! i hate that. especially at work. where they give you the answer you need in 2 minutes, and the go on and on about it for 30. wtf. i want to say stfu and get back to work. lol.

i know SEVERAL people like this. i don't get it, when i'm talking to people, i can tell right away that conversation is dragging and i don't hesitate and to say "ok, see ya"...but with some people i talk to it's like talking to me is the only thing in their life...like they can't let me go else they'll drown. it's VERY odd, and VERY VERY annoying...and unfortunately, seems to kinda be pretty common!

edit: for instance, i needed help in an unfamiliar area of work..but i knew ONE guy who worked over there....so i stopped by his office just to get his help with a 2 second task....i timed it, i ended up being in his office for 35 minutes! he dragged on and on like he hadn't seen anyone in weeks...i couldn't wait to get the heck out of there, it's insane. doesn't he have anything better to do??? i actually excused myself three times during the conversation, but he just ignored me!

gosh I recall a dude, i'm not sure he was completely there mentally, but he could talk for hours about nothing.... also he would talk pretty fast, every once in a while taking a breath.... anyways, I wanted to see what his reaction would be to someone who talks fast and furiously as he and so I gave him some of his own medicine. I started rambling and talking about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.... everytime he would try to talk, I would interrupt and start another conversation about the weather and the weather lady at the local news station.. then I would go off into talking about calculus and some bullsh*t.... after about 20 minutes, he said he had to go.... hahahahha

I'm The MAN.
