People should wait a little while before naming their kids after attributes.

I hate those names, and it seems like A LOT of kids have them these days. It also seems like those with names like Aiden and Jayden or whatever are more misbehaved than other kids, but this could just be my own observation.

Binlayden?

Given the intense brand-loyalty that some here display, I wonder if there are any Pentium Smith's or Athlon Jones's out there?

The most fucked up girl I ever met named her daughter Serenity Faith Hope.
I have no idea how that kid turned out but I do not believe the name did anything good for either of them.

Knew a guy in high school named Warren.
It was both his first AND last name.
I guess his parents couldn't think of ONE SINGLE OTHER NAME.
Also know of a girl named Winter that has a last name that begins with Summer.

Kim Kardashian named her girl, North West.

that's when I realize that denmark's fascist approach to naming freedom (you need to get it approved, they have lists and stuff) has its advantages.

My buddy was christened Shawn. When he found out the correct spelling of his name was Sean, he walked home and immediately had his name legally changed to Sean. IIRC, he was in 3rd grade and by "walked home" I mean he left school during school hours and walked home in a huff... lol
i used to pronounce Sean as "Seen" till i saw Gridiron Gang :colbert:

how long is a little while to wait???

i mean, a kid at 5 is much different than 25....they don't do much until they'r a few years old and don't you have to put something on the birth certificate pretty quickly?

Probably a better plan would be to avoid naming them something they might not end up being. I always think about that whenever I meet someone named "Christian". Do they have to change their name if they change their religion?

I don't think I've ever seen the shortname given as a birthname ever.
I have one. I prefer it that way. Only time it's annoying is when filling out "long-name" forms and the person says you need to put your full name there when you already did.
So he's a Jr.? That's a common practice here. In fact, I have my dad's name.
I think I've known more "II"s than I have "Jr"s. I'd certainly rather be a "II" than a "Jr."
Anyone named Ayden is really fucked then
I usually just figure one or both parents are Star Wars fans but didn't want to be completely obvious about it.

"Hayden" and "Bryson" seem to be increasingly common around here.
"Hayden." More evidence for my Star Wars theory.

I know a guy who's the Third with his name . Him, his father and his grandfather all have the same name.

He named his first son and his first daughter after the kids Han and Leia have in the star wars books that take place after the movies.
