People selling deal information on Ebay suck!

While looking at a couple prices on Ebay I find that some pund scum on there is selling information like "how to buy this printer for cheap using a coupon". This @ss is selling (for $10 I might add) the information he gets from sites like Anandtech to people.

Read this guys auction list. Click!

It's a who's who of Hot Deals.... agghh!

i dont know what auctions you are looking at but the first one i pulled up with a real auction for an hp camera.

Sometimes if people do this on Hot Deals they go and email all the bidders the info themselves...

He does have the right, but I think I would feel a little guilty about making money off of some info that was given to me by an AT member who was nice enough to share it. Not to say I don't like free money, but... I don't know, something is just not right about it.

He's just providing a service. If people are stupid enough to pay him for this information, then so be it. If someone pays him say 10 bucks to save them 50 on a digicam (whatever), and they are too lazy to look for a deal, everyone involved in the transaction wins.

Buyer beware. If people are willing to pay for a service, why does he suck for providing it?

Who appointed you the Fair Deal Police?

okay okay... but I hope this guy at least subscribes and pays for one of these deal sites.... I hope gives back as much as he takes.

I'm... I wasn't policing Ebay, I was stating my opinion... that's allowed in OT isn't it! Jeez..

Yup. IMVHO this just compounds my view that buying anything IT related off of Ebay is sufficient proof of stupidity. IME things sell at more than they are worth 99.9% of the time.

I suppose he is just providing a service. I guess I'm just used to people being nice enough on AT Hot Deals to share info for free that this doesn't seem quite right to me. I understand the logic that it is a service, though.

The people who left feedbacks on him are generally very happy with the informations provided by him, so I guess he's not so bad after all... Not like those punks who sell pictures and boxes of hot-selling consoles during X-mas seasons...

Some people are just more thick skinned and greedier than other. But as long as no law has been broken, what harm will that do?

i recall when the bestbuy gf4 preorder misprice was going on, some schmuck on ebay was selling one as if it was a done deal. i think he like preordered 2, but his friend backed out, so he had an extra one... wonder what happened to the person that bid on that.. since i believe everyone's ordered got cancelled in the end.

edit: oh, and i dont mind the selling of info.. but id feel bad for someone that bought the info, and later on, got their order cancelled because it was some sort of pricing mistake...
