Sometimes the apt management gets (VERY sticky) stickers with the notices and sticks them onto the driver side window of the offending car (cars w/o permit). Problem is that the person checking and posting the stickers must be BLIND because my car has the sticker where its supposed to be and its sitting in my covered parking spot! Good thing they didnt use a razor to cut the sticker into many pieces after sticking it, which will make removal a major pain.

Options

1 - Damage their car, go to jail

2 - Call towing company. You will be suprised...they friggen respond faster than cops when KK puts up the Hot Now sign. They are in it for the moolah and will do everything in their power to tow the vehcle. Must have a sign posted with THEIR CONTACT INFO. This will need to be done beforehand.

3 - Leave a note and hope they, or someone else, does not park there...ignorance of the rules can be an excuse here with "hard to read" markings.

4 - Have the managment charge good ole ma less per month because she does not require the space.

5 - Sublet the sucker. Someone wants it.

print out a piece of paper with the words "You are illegally parked" in large letters. I prefer landscape ;) then go and super glue it to their driver side window. Its not damaging, but its such a bitch to get off, that you will get your point across.

p.s. This happened once to me. once. get the idea?

People from the University block my driveway quite often. If I can squeeze by (very dangerous as it's a busy road and visibility is blocked) I usually just leave a warning note that clearly states they will be towed if they ever do that again. After that I have no problem calling the police who happily tow the sucker away. There have been several times when I have literally been trapped by people who feel their need to get to class is important enough to completely block our driveway (and access to three different tenants). Aguy was screaming at me a few months ago after I told him what happened. I told him that if he had disregraded my first warning and then felt it was ok to block over 1/2 of my very narrow driveway then he should stop whining. He kept insisting that he was nowhere near the driveway, but I had ample photos of the whole thing to shut him up. SO just put a FIRM letter on their windshield stating that they are violating your space and that the next time it happens you willimmediately call to have them towed.

I always walk to the University, but when I am supposed to pick up an 80 year old woman with osteoporosis (as I do 3x week) and drive her about 15 miles to her home that option seems somehow... weak ;)

Well, what I did was take down the plate of the offending vehice, and called it into management once again. They said they will put a notice on his vehicle. When I go to see Mom this weekend, and the vehicle is in her spot, I am going to leave my own note stating next time the vehicle will be towed. We'll see how that works. If not, I'll take some of your suggestions into consideration. ;)

Just don't put your Mom in an unfavorable position.
Do you know who owns the offending car?

Unfortunately no, I have never seen the person. I did mention that I don't want just that car singled out, I'd like all the cars to have the warnings put on them, so nobody is singled out (looking out for Moms best interest).
