That's like Bill Clinton's 1995 promise that "AIDS Will Have A Cure In 10 Years".

It's great to make promises like that to help you politically. Promises that you have no intention of keeping and which the public always forgets about.

How are the 9/11 victims being exploited? 9/11 was a national tragedy. Leading a nation through that is Bush's greatest accomplishment. I would expect him to remind Americans of that when making a case why he should be reelected. But to insinuate that Reeve's death could have been prevented, if it weren't for Bush, is ridiculous and has no place in politics.

I think people don't fully understand the situation here and edwards is shamelessly trying to exploit people's ignorance on the matter. Bush and many Republicans support stem-cell research.
