That's, uhm.. yeah, what everyone else said. Even if they could jump into the water, I don't think it'd be possible for them to survive. :p

But the fact that someone jokes, or bullsh*ts about this in the current situation, is sad! Serious sadcase.

I think you should teach him a lesson! :p

I personally would beat the sh!t out of this person. No f'n joke, i can't stand people at this time to make jokes or exxagerations about this horrific tragedy. Maybe its because i'm from NYC, and it hit close to home, but I would get up in the class and tell that kid to shut his f'n mouth... and if he didn't, i would put my fist through his nose.

<< You guys aren't takin into factor of the blast. The blast could have propelled the person to fly into the water, a la Die Hard.

the blask alone should've blown the peron into smitherines (spelling?)...so even if he were to make it to the water...he would not have survived.

Where in the original post did he mention that this particular person jumped out of the WTC?

He didn't, just cause its talk about a building doesn't mean its from the WTC.

I'm scared to death of height's ( I have a hard time getting on the roof of my two story house!) but the amount of pain and suffering some of these people may have been going through was more then we could ever convey into words, have you ever been burned??? I would have to say a burn is probably the most painful pain anyone could experence. people in the street's say they could feel the heat from the 2nd plane when it hit the building. add choking smoke and maybe being in shock and not even being able to see a foot in front of your face and I don't think their was any thinking about it. these people were suffering and I think they were trying to get out no matter what. even if it was a 80 story fall.

good point. he never really mentions WTC, but from when this line:

<< I hate that someone will use this disaster to get attention by making up crap like that... >>

that sorta made me think he was referring to the WTC.

Since the original poster was there, and commented on "the towers" not being close to the water, then it's only logical to assume the person the OP was talking about was speaking of the NYC incident. ** Emphasis added by me.

<< Some dickhead in my english class was bullshitting to the whole class about how he personally knows some guy that jumped out a window and landed in the river, and came back to talk about it. What fving bullshit.

Why do people make up sh!t like this? The towers weren't build right on the very edge of the river and even if they were, the impact would still kill. **

I hate that someone will use this disaster to get attention by making up crap like that...
