Yes, I have looked at DSL reports. Whats the best broadband ISP in the Phoenix area (I will be moving to Glendale)?

Also, I need to set up a checking account out there, Do any of you know the most popular bank there now days and if any of them have good deals on that type of account?

usually Cox or Qwest for broadband. some smaller companies around in different cities though.

banks? Wells Fargo, Bank of America, or Bank One.

I leave on the first of July. I lived there from when I was born until 96.

I have heard a LOT of BAd things about Cox HSI in the Phoenix area.

oh ok, cool. yeah since the @Home network went defunct, Cox has been crap. but i HATE Qwest too. I have Mediacom, but i live out in Apache Junction. i'm not sure what else is available in Glendale. cause i know Tempe has Cable America for broadband. Adul might know, he lives in north phoenix...a LITTLE closer to Glendale.

If you're looking for a bank I would suggest a Credit Union or opening an account with INGDirect.com which is an FDIC insured internet only bank and they'll give you free $50 if you open an account with $1.

A friend of mine just switched from DSL to Cox cable in Phoenix and can't believe he wasted time with the DSL.. Cable is MUCH faster for him.

pick any bank but BoA.
I'm thinking of switching bank the way they treat me lately.
fees this, fees that. not to mention lousy customer service.
They think they can do that cos they have the most ATM in PHX metro.
Trust me, you'll get charge for anything with BoA, avoid them like plaque.

As for broadband, get COX if you are going to get cable at all.
COX is not so bad, I've survive their horror period.
It is pretty smooth now, although some hiccups are expected. nobody's perfect anyway.
might as well get a faster broadband. If Glendale is in their old network, then it should be stable.
my friend in north phx has COX for quite sometime, and rarely any problems.

give them a try, don't forget to get your own Cable modem, $15 cheaper monthly.

Welcome to the Valley Of The Sun, don't forget to bring some rain with you.
We haven't have any since last year.

The savings offers free $50 plus one of the BEST rates out there (3%) and you can also have a checking account with them as well.

Why not have both a checking and savings?
