People from the SF Bay Area, what the hell happened to KSJO?

What ever happened to KOME? When I lived in San Jose that was the KSJO's biggest competitor next to Live 105 who played Lip Pierce Rock.

That was replaced by some other format a looong time ago. I remember listening primarily to KSJO and KOME on the mornings to school. I remember Dennis Erectus from the KOME days. Boy was he a character and an ass.

Well odds are some enterprising Station Manager will switch to the same format KSJO had now that they won't have any competition from KSJO.

Ungreatful bastards! how could yall stop listening to KSJO!!

Until you have had to move away from NCali and the best radio station in the US.. you dont know what you are missing..
KSJO was flat out was the best station I have ever had the privelege of listening to...
now they are gone... this downfall started when L&T moved away =/
sigh..
you guys want crappy radio come to Houston...
the stuff they played on KSJO has never gotten airplay here becasue of the bible thumpers.

sigh

I miss going to all the concerts at the Edge and the Filmore that KSJO sponcered.. as well as Tshirt patrols getting free stuff at all the rest of the concerts..

SLoppy Joe, Lori Free, the whole gang there.. all great peeps..
sigh what a downer...

Same here. I visit the Bay Area from time to time and I always listened to KSJO

Hey, a bump for San Fransisco -- Clear Channel just did the exact same thing to Houston's rock station, 101.1 KLOL.

No more rock, just music in Spanish. Clear Channel sucks ass.

sf bay area seriously needs another top 40 station again. i hate flipping around from 94.9 to 106.5 to 101.3 to hoping i pick up 102.5 to some random station 89.3 that picks up only half the time in san jose.

Never listened to the station, but it seems to be a cancer of radio today.

On any given saturday morning, you can find at least 4 stations playing spanish music in my little podunk town. Who listens to all that crap?

seems like the us is becoming bilingual. in nj, atm's ask you to select english/spanish first before proceeding.

I thought they did that everywhere.

But then again, I live in Houston, so...

They did the same thing here in Denver. there were two great rock stations, one was 97 The Peak and had Nina Blackwood on in the afternoons. she had an awesome lineup. now its nothing but mexican circus music.
