Have driven in Thailand, can confirm. Did not drive in Bangkok, fortunately, but I wouldn't call Chiang Mai a walk in the park.

They do. For instance, your supposed to wear a helmet but a cop isn't going to stop you if you aren't wearing one.

I liked the taxis when I was in Korea. They would blow thru red lights at night, even with a cop in their presence.

The thing is, when I was a kid I'd have loved to have some sort of suit like that so I could do things far more dangerous than I normally did. It would only have served to allow me to perform even riskier activities than I was already performing.

My buddy loved Thailand, I guess he spent about 2-3 months living there a few years back. Said they party like freaking crazy over there.

I wouldn't eat those crazy bug foods though, I'm not much of a foodie. I also wouldn't go near the strippers or hookers, who knows what the hell they have crawling around on them.
