Why the sad face? Did he pass? :(

Little ot but their mommy is gonna pass soon, took her to the vet last week when she was feeling sickly. They found a tumor in her heart, blood surrounding the sack which surrounds the heart, and about a liter of some kind of fluid in her abdominal. Im going to take her back monday to see whatever is going on.

Oh those are 3 separate pups

LOL, true story, I've never owned a totally white dog or cat. The current cat is probably half black/quarter tan/quarter white, and the dog is half black and half tan. Had a bunch of all black cats when I was a kid, but they probably all had white/grey patches on them.

Dat true. Of the nine "black" cats we've had only Impy has no white at all and a couple others are not really black but very dark brown. Impy's a traditional apple-head siamese and is just black, really, really black.

I think black animals are cool. I don't think what they are saying is true, so they are obviously grasping at straws for attention.

Probably because they don't look as interesting to most people. Personally, I've never not had a black cat....so screw those racists.

My wife worked at a cat shelter for a couple years. At that shelter it was true - the black cats were far less likely to get adopted. It was a no-kill shelter so as time went by the percentage of black cats in shelter kept going up.

Wow, I guess that explains the predominance of all white dogs and cats I see now :).

This explains the popularity of white labradors i see. :)

Almost every dog I grew up with was black, and yet I probably won't actively seek out a black dog for my next pet. The reason is, pure and simple, apparent cleanliness of my house and clothes. Black hair shows up. If, when I'm adopting a new Dane in few months, a black come up first I'll take her, but if choosing I think I might take a fawn or blue this time.

Yeah I've seen this at an animal shelter near me. They have a room with only black cats since they are adopted less than other colored cats.

Love my black dog, Blackie. Never thought black was particularly more or less "adoptable" beyond the obvious black cat superstition.

OP, don't tell me that you didn't know about the "black cat crosses your path" superstition. :colbert:

As far as shedding goes, I think brown hair shows on more clothes and surfaces than black. Maybe I just wear more black than most people.

We have a black cocker spaniel - no problems with him; got him at 6 weeks - had him now for 11+ years

Just do not get between him and food
