Maybe it's coincidence, maybe it isn't.
Tonight I got yet another call from someone telling me about an error their getting, that their computer doesn't have sufficient memory to run a program. About 8 people total now, all running Windows 98 or Windows ME have called me within the last two weeks or so. They all say that rebooting the computer fixes the problem temporarily, but eventually their programs start shutting down one by one claiming that there's insufficient memory. I've had them check their system resources, and check their hard drive space and neither are maxed out.
Anyone else getting this error recently?
Maybe it's some kind of new worm virus going around?
They all claim it happens while their "on the net".
This seems a little strange that everyone would have the same problem. The funny thing is, most everyone hasn't called to complain about the problem or Windows sucking or anything. They all call me asking me if they can upgrade their RAM or their hard drive. LOL! Granted, all of these people are the basic users. You know, turn computer on, fire up AOL, check email, go in chat rooms, forward dumb jokes to everyone in address book, shut down computer.
