Honestly, if I'm going to start talking about not allowing annoying things in the office, the occasional noise from random kids is pretty far from the top of my list
? No daily arguing with your bill collector/bank/mother to talk about when the check will clear/when the check will clear/when the check will clear.
? No more talking about what Jessica did last night.
? No more 20-minute rants about how the guy behind the counter at the tire place treated you.
Unless those people are walking around to every cube in the office to talk about those things, they are nowhere near as annoying as someone bringing their baby around and requiring you to pretend you care. Second to the baby thing is when people walk around with some stupid idea for a gift or party for someone and expect you to contribute. If I contributed toward every single party or gift I was asked to, I would probably be out $1000 per year.
Wait, no, above both of those is the one where they pressure you to contribute to some crap charity like united way. I think there were some threads about that here on ATOT. After that, then it's the babies, then the gift.
Man, we really need to have an "office annoyance oscar" ceremony.
