The laptop that i'm gonna be getting is capable of handling a 2.13ghz cpu but i can only really afford teh 2.0. Am i gonna missing a whole lot with that .13 ghz?

There won't likely be much of a performance differance. The 2ghz is probably 400mhz FSB, while the 2.13 is 533mhz FSB, but overall its unlikely you would notice the diffeance in most things. Thats gonna be a sweet laptop.

2.13 will boost performance a good deal, but it isn't worth it to blow that muuch for the next cpu.

wait a sec there is a 533mhz bus version of the 2.0ghz also.

This is a Dell am I right? It's more important that you have 1 gig of memory.

Its a 2.0 w/ a 533FSB and 1gb ram @ pc4200

I am getting a Dell Precision M70. The CPU upgrade is paired up with the monitor. So i think its something like a $300 upgrade for the 2.13 and the UXGA 15.4 inch screen. I am currently buying a 2.0 with the SXGA+ 15.4 inch screen with the Quadro FX Go1400 w/ 256mb or RAM. 🙂

Ya dude my laptop is the 1.86 533 fsb 1 gig of ram. I love it, the only thing to watch with dell's is the HDD. Make sure they don't cheat you with a 4200rpm hdd, go 5400 or better.

The difference between a 2.0 w/ 533 FSB and a 2.13 w/ 533 FSB is next to nothing.

Be happy with the 2 Ghz - I'm running a 1.86 GHz right now and it's very quick.

My 1.7 OCd to 2.1 makes a huge difference, the difference between being able to watch an HDTV video or not. 2.0 is prolly good though.
