Pentium M Dothan - Pin mod success stories - Anyone

Just curious, I have a Dell 6000 with a Dothan 1.7 running Prime stable at 2.26 using the pinmod.

Has anyone had any success using a 1.8 or 2.0 with the pinmod??

The pinmod is real easy. The 1.7 chips seem to be a favorite for such a project. Good deal too.

No, you need a laptop with the newer 915 chipset that supports 533MHz FSB.

It's going to be tough to bring a 1.8 to 2.4 Ghz. And a 2.0 to 2.66 is probably real unlikely. I have a Dell 9300 that I pin mod a 1.6 to 2.13. Real stable and unvolted too!

my 9300 came with a 1.6 533. I got a 1.6 400 from ebay for $135 shipped. I still have my 533 sitting here, I'm going to put it on ebay sometime.

Ive already tried two 1.8 processor and neither was stable with the pinmod. Going for number three in the next few days. Wish me luck
