Pentium III DDR Motherboard here !!! Yipee !

Maybe I am behind on this but I didn't know VIA's DDR Chipset had been released for P3. This board has it, but I can't find it on Pricewatch yet.

Well, I want one, maybe its not worth it though ehh ?

What do you guys think ?

Wow, this is news to me. I knew VIA was bringing a DDR solution for Intel to the market but not this quickly, and not for the PIII but rather P4.

bah dont expect any performance increase though. The bus cant even use the damn bandwith.

I think most Members here know Athlon processors will get the most benefit rather then Intel from DDR boards.

I have an Athlon but plan to go back to Intel... and P4 is a bit expensive..

There is no way of knowing until you bench both platforms.

Exactly. But at the very least you can be sure the price of the system will come down. DDR RAM is almost the same price as SDRAM now.
