I searched the board and Google and couldn't find an answer to this (just processor compatibility stats for specific motherboards)
A friend just gave me a Pentium D processor. I want to build a core 2 duo system but initially use the Pentium D processor in the system until I save more money to buy the core 2 duo. Will the Pentium D work on all core 2 duo chipsets or is there a specific chipset I need to go with. If this is the case will I be crippling my system or limiting my ability to upgrade later by doing this?
