well i did a search and checked to see if this was posted and didnt see it int he results, and it is cheaper than any of the prices of results.

the geeks have the 805 retail box for 122.50 before shipping, apply 10% off "special" non-geek-special coupon code drops it down to 110.25 before shipping.

cheapest posted on the hot deals forum here i have seen is $139 so i think this is hot, pardon me if it is not

Anybody know what the best cheap board for this is? Something around $50 would be great. Remember, this is a 133 part so a board that doesn't go far past 200mhz wouldn't be a problem. I haven't looked at intel parts for so long, I don't even know.

Best bet might be 775DUAL-880PRO from ASRock. Capability of FSB200 is not an issue at all from the beginning, as you cannot use Pentium D on the older mobo anyway.

has 805 + mobo = $159

and next up 925...

Yah I was thinking about that one. Comes out to $169.12 shipped, plus tax. If I go with this deal and that Asrock board (which I looked at earlier), comes out to:

$114.25 shipped for the proc (I split the $8 shipping fee in 1/2 since there is no additional charge when I add the case I'm going to buy from geeks).
$60.84 shipped for the mobo =
$175.09 for the combo.

That ECS get's some weird reviews on newegg, and I'm not sold on the ECS just yet for oc'ing. I think I'ma go with the asrock combo. Thanks guys.

Gigabyte SLI mobo For about a $100 shipped. Should be a very nice oc'r as well. Has one bad review on mwave but it sounds like the user didn't know what he was doing when it came to SATA. A user in the mobo forum had some really good things to say about the mobo.

How is that an SLI? Did you link the wrong one?

I got the Fry's combo for my PVR for $149 plus 8.25% in taxes
it rocks (I can't believe that I say this about intel)
Dual cores are the way to go

the ECS mobo is working just fine

Damnit, had a chance to purchase when it was at $112, then it went OOS, now it's up to $154.95 before coupon. Looks like I'll purchase from ZZF.
