Indeed 98 was bad. I checked microsoft and it has not been supported since 2006. Tried W2K and was a lot better than 98. In contrast with xp which is about the same age, seems a lot better than w2k . And i'm only using it for three months. The update is a nice feature.
My cousin runs a linux os and it is nice too. It is different than windows but i wouldn't like the learning proccess.

I think it is an early Pentium III. I will run an Intel id program after i start it. It's my brothers' and it runned at 666 (133 instead of 100) for many years.

I started the computer. The mainboard settings were at 666, and i left them there. On boot up the screen says 500MHz. I remember something about these chips being locked from intel.
