I'm currently using a spare Golden Orb Socket A cooler on my Pentium 133. As you might imagine the Gorb doesn't have any problems cooling the thing.

The problem is that the crappy little fan on the Gorb has worn out, and is beginning to make annoying resonanses.
I have disconnected the fan and the cpu is passively cooled now. The HS gets a bit warm under full load, but not untouchable. I would estimate the temp to be around 50-60 degrees.

It's seems to be perfectly stable without the fan.

However I'm interested in knowing the normal operating conditions for the P133. I'd like to keep the old friend a little longer :)

Thanks :)

I'm typing this on a p120@133 thats served me well for about 5-6 years. It was passivly cooled up until about two months ago and it never gave me any problems. I sure it'll be fine as long as you've got decent air movement inside the case.

I had a P133 serving me for 2,5 years passivly cooled (heatsink only), without any movement of any air in the case. Infact the case was an Ibm desktop , totaly f*cked up case without any upgrading options 4isa 2 pci(shared) on raiser card. God!! I hated that computer.
