since when does Pentax camera comes with a Canon kit lens. Yes, the Canon kit lens is crap. but it has nothing to do with the Pentax kit lens.

very sweet deal. I would spend the extra $100 for the K100D with shake reduction though. Well worth it.

how is the feedback on these cameras through the reviews?

it is a crappy lens, but oh well... hehe if you're a decent photographer, you can live off the factory lens kit for a while!!
RX-7 Picture Taken with Canon 400D (XTi) with factory lens (18-55mm)
XTi w/ factory 18-55mm lens. Crappy, but you can use it!

good price for the camera, the lens is crap as this is the same one that came with my Canon Rebel XTi....bought a 28-135mm instead ...I am not saying that the lenses are interchangeable but saying that they are the same type ...its still crap and I can take pictures

Not the same lens that came with your Canon. Canon indeed has some trash (Pentax has/had some in their catalog too with the FAJ lenses). This lens from Pentax is surprisingly decent. I highly recommend spending the extra for the K100D as the SR is a very good thing. I'm upgrading from my DL (similar to K110D) to the K100D as soon as I can afford it.
