Pentagon may tap military pay, pensions for border wall

In Angry Orange Asshole's America, taking money from the military to build a border wall makes perfect sense. In fact I'm absolutely sure that while a few Republicans will whine about this, the majority of them will have no problem with robbing the military to pay for the vanity wall for Putin's Orange Jockstrap. I'm not so sure that the military is going to care for this move but hey, they're not in charge.

"Leftover" money...lol!

Article indicates this was funding allocated to pay salaries and the associated pension burden that won't be needed because enlistment is down. If that's the case then this doesn't seem like a big deal (other factors notwithstanding).

They have the money on hand because recruitment is down 6,500 despite the incentive pay being offered and the military overestimated the numbers that would take advantage of an early retirement incentive.. With employment being what it is the military is going to have to offer better incentive pay to get the warm bodies they need. They even lowered their standards for admission (yet again) and still couldn't get it done. This money could be used to raise recruiting numbers but instead they are considering using it build an ineffective fence.

Who needs a force when you have a fence that's a farce!
