Pentagon halts Biden transition briefings

My take: It's Trump's tantrum. And he is stroking his conspiracy laden base. Keeping them strung along with hints of some kind of strong arm tactic to stay in power so he can continue raising funds.
But Trump's advisers and thus Trump knows that he's impotent. Nothing he does will allow him to stay in power. Fantasies about martial law feed the base and keep fund raising bucks pouring in. They also feed Trump's ego.
But in the end, he's can't pull it off. Were he to attempt martial law to stay in power the majority of government and military would refuse and would put himself in mortal danger for treason.
This is all performance theater for his base.
Also, remember, Trump and his admin are more incompetent than anything else.
First we had stupid Watergate. And now we've had a stupid coup.
Let's just hope the stimulus gets passed soon
 
Without knowing more detail I wouldn't read too much into this just yet. It could possibly be just an attempt (albeit abrupt) by the leadership there to allow people to use the remainder of their use/lose leave for the year. If this is the case, obviously should've been planned better and people notified well in advance.

Just a possibility IMHO.

I'm thinking if Trump was stupid enough to do that, can you just imagine what state secrets he let loose during those private one-on-one meetings he had with Puti considering how he preferred to believe Putin over our very own intelligence agencies?

That would certainly match the level of dangerous incompetence we all have come to expect from the Trump administration.
 
Trump's not done hiding everything he needs to hide from being investigated. Add to that he's doing it willy nilly because his exit strategy is commensurate with his inability to see farther than his dick sees that threatening zipper in front of it.

In a lot of ways, he's going out quite similar to the way he came in, ignorant and self-interested as ever.
