I rented the Bullsh*t DVDs over the weekend and that is some funny stuff. It's great how they debunk all of these asshats.

If you haven't seen them, I suggest you rent them or check out this season's on Showtime.

Bullsh*t!

I watched the whole first season, havent seen much of the second. Most of the stuff is common sense, but I enjoy watching just to laugh at all the dumb people defend their BS.

I get all of my information on controversial subjects from those who have made a living out of deceiving people.

Awesome show. The 2nd season is on break at the moment, they're doing it split up. There were already 8 episodes broadcast and there will be more following the hiatus. I think the restart is August 5th.

Between Bullsh!t and Dead Like Me Showtime has 2 of the best shows on TV.

Great show. It's a comedic version of Junk Science or the Skeptical Inquirer.

BTW, Penn and Teller's libertrainaism is quite refreshing on a TV filled with left/right nonsense these days.

I don't have showtime, so I'm going to have to wait for the 2nd season DVD's to come out. :(

The PETA one was great, lots of fun facts like
* PETA opposes all pet ownership, including guide dogs for the blind
* PETA opposes all animal-based medical research
* PETA kills half the animals it "rescues"
* PETA gives money to convicted felon research-lab arsonists / "animal rights" terrorists

The diabetic woman fighting against medical research while using animal-produced insulin was classic hypocrisy.

Love the show. :)

I also let my kids watch the show... hopefully they continue to learn to question the world more and not just go with the status quo.

She wasn't a hypocrite ... She needed HER life to fight for the lives of animals

That Being said. Penn and Teller are awesome. Bullsh*t is a great show. I hate PETA and I believe in the ethical treatment of plants.

Stop killing plants!
only eat Animals!

I love the show. Quite frankly it is one of the freshest most intelligent programs out there. They have a way of making their points frankly or in a sly, intelligent manner. The episode on profanity was great, and it just goes to show how people refuse to interpret the constitution in its original form. Everyone wants to impose rules and laws on people as long as it isn't themselves. They've debunked PETA, the Drug War, Guns, Freedom of Speech, etc. I can't help but think that this is the voice that libertarians have needed for a long time.

I want to be able to use the language I want to use. I want to be able to have a firearm if I so choose. I want to be able to do these things because *our* constitution promised those rights. Over government has become so obese and thirsty with power that it is eroding individual rights. The individual and their rights are WHY our country was founded. Why can't people understand that? Our freedom has been severely eroded by the FCC's latest fight with broadcasters. Thank God Bush is letting the ban on magazine capacity and other firearm issues expire. Why do we even spend billions on stupid programs and laws anyway? People would be much happier if they had the FREEDOM to choose. Isn't that why this country was founded? If we want to do dumb sh!t to ourselves then that should be our right. If we want to call each other sh!thead that is our right. Whoever gave these nimwits the idea that they could censor our speech? I just get mad thinking about how bastardized things have become.

This is the only one I saw, I found it hilarious (and I'm a dog person), but don't watch enough TV to have caught any others. Maybe I'll rent the dvds some time.

oh man i just downloaded uhh..."rented" episode 8 about creationism vs evolution where they blasted creationism and showed that it wasn't science. It was awesome. They showed a ton of right wingers saying that they didnt want religion being taught in school, only "a different belief." But these same people think that the other group that believes it was aliens that created life on earth are just crazy. HA! The irony is killing me...

I haven't seen any of the episodes (don't get Showtime), but Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular on FX ~5 years ago was a damn good show.
