The side proven to be lying about the issue automatically loses any claims to equal footing. Penn State is assumed to be the more dishonest party because history has shown them to be the more dishonest party. If Penn State doesn't like that characterization they need to take a good hard look in the mirror because it's their own damn fault.

Of course it could be made up, but it seems like the judge has the evidence and it just hasn't been released yet. The truth will come out eventually on these allegations. Really wouldn't be surprised if it was true, jopa concealed this shit for 15 years.

and even an attorney for victims of Sandusky cautioned that he did not know of irrefutable evidence supporting the claim.

I don't even think the ridiculously diehard JoePa defenders are even disputing that any more. The question is when he knew. Frankly, it was unforgivable for even the best case scenario of when, but if he knew that far back, he almost had to have been actively participating in assisting Sandusky to cover it up for so long. You can't defend that away as him trying to preserve the integrity of his legacy and the program's reputation any more, as though he was under such shock that he didn't have time to do the right thing.
 
Are any exceptions allowed to the biblical principle of forgiveness? The Lords prayer says "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us".

The amazing thing is that people still want to go to this school. If I was a prospective student I think I would avoid the school that is now most well known for it's child rape cover up.

If you care about sports that much, I guess. Granted, sports is yuuuuuge at PSU, but it's a massive school and one of the larger public research institutions in the country. They attract shit-tons of international talent and gobs of money for their non-sports institutions.

Funding for PSU research makes the revenue generated by their (completely separate, I might add) NCAA-sponsored child-rape program look like peanuts.

I may have extreme views on this as I thought the Catholic church should have been disbanded and the Vatican's riches divvied up among its victims.
