BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) — The mother of one of Jerry Sandusky’s alleged victims says her son’s underwear was frequently missing from the laundry and he claimed he’d thrown it away because he had an accident.

The mother of the teen called Victim 9 by prosecutors was the last witness called Monday before the state attorney general’s office rested its case against the former Penn State assistant football coach.

The woman’s son testified Thursday that Sandusky had repeatedly forced him to have anal sex that resulted in bleeding. The teen testified that he “just dealt with it.”

Earlier, prosecutors dropped one of the 52 counts against Sandusky, saying the statute he was charged under did not apply at the time of the alleged illegal contact.

Sandusky denies the charges.

The defense began presenting its case by calling former Penn State assistant coach Dick Anderson.

Erm, do you use the athletic facilities at OSU? At Michigan and Wisconsin, kids are allowed in the locker rooms and showers of the athletic buildings (if they're with a parent/guardian). That's not at all suspicious in and of itself. When I go swimming at the Nat in the summer there are guys of all ages in the showers...

I did 30+ years ago when I went to school there :). I don't ever recall young kids being allowed to use the facilities. I guess times have changed?

At both institutions I attended (UC Davis and Nevada- Reno) the major-sport athletes and coaches had separate locker and shower facilities from the general population.

They do at UMich and Wisco as well, but the non-major sport athletes and coaches don't. Just saying it's not unusual to see adults, kids, athletes, and I'm sure coaching staff in the locker rooms. IOW the testimony that was quoted is, by itself, unremarkable.

Deliberations begin tomorrow, anyone have any guesses on what will happen?

I'm guessing not guilty on all charges.

He probably won't last long in prison before dying.....prison inmates tend to despise child molesters and most don't last a year before their head meets a wall....hard.

Yup. People who molest one kid get their ass beaten. Imagine a high profile case like Sandusky.

Unfortunately they don't put them in general population for that reason. They're kept with the other pervs.

Trust me. They'll get to him somehow. You forget the guys who are in there for life or are on death row really dont care about their own well being.

For such a high profile case the trial and verdict really seemed to be issued quickly. Not that it's a bad thing, just a bit surprised that things moved this swiftly.

Wow, fast well deserved verdict! One less douchebag on the streets! Waiting for the civil lawsuits so his wife ends up on the streets.

Now time to convict Dottie, his wife. She had to have covered for the asshole and knew what was going on.

There is no way that she did not know what was going on. Even the step son is now coming forward. She needs to go down too.

"Penn State said it will invite the victims to participate in a program to facilitate resolution.

"The university wants to provide a forum where the university can privately, expeditiously and fairly address the victims' concerns and compensate them for claims relating to the University.""

Fuck Penn State they are only do this in hopes they don't get sued.
