That trick was lame.

Supposedly they had predicted both the final score and the MVP of the game beforehand, and the prediction was kept in a pickle jar hanging up under guard. After the game they broke open the jar to show us how they got the prediction exactly right.

Because it was totally unbelievable. Even for a second. I have no problem with magic tricks if they make you question reality or suspend your belief of what is real for even a fraction of a second. But their "prediction" being accurate was just totally unbelievable.

yea, the little man has no fear. he just did the stunts like it was nothing. he even ate a bug he didn't need to in order to show another one that did how easy it was.

He's a magician, remember? Sleight of hand, and all that? He didn't eat a bug, he picked up a live bug, palmed it, and put a fake in his mouth.

I do enjoy watching their acts, especially the drawn-out physical comedies. Penn throws a knife that's supposed to hit a target, misses, and hits Teller. Teller starts bleeding profusely. Obviously an arterial bleed, he's spraying blood in a ten-foot stream all over the stage. Fun stuff. :D

Say what you will about Penn and Teller, but their new Showtime series called "Bullsh!t" is excellent.

It should be requred veiwing for every idiot who falls for scams, myths and urban legends.

Magic is the art of disbelief. None of it is real and P&T will be the first folks to tell you this. It takes a suspension of belief to enjoy magic, b/c deep down, you know it's not real. It's a trick.

Penn and Teller are some of the best performers around when it comes to illusions and magic. Their live shows in Vegas right now are top notch. The gun trick is pretty amazing to see live, as well as the gorilla trick and their card tricks. They will tell you it's fake, and then still make it enjoyable and amazing to watch. Their showtime show is also pretty cool (at least the first episode was cool). Great guys. I finally got to meet the guys last year after being a fan for more than 15 years.

I think they are hilarious. I saw them on Fear Factor and forgot how funny they are. I ordered one of their videos from Amazon w/ a GC after seeing them. Hopefully it's just as funny as I hope it will be :)

Plus, their views on science and technology and politics are really interesting to read. They have articles printed all over the place.
