I keep seeing people posting about PenFed, not everyone out there is eligible for PenFed.
You have to have something to do with the government or military or someone in your family does to qualify. For instance, if your dad is in the military, you might qualify for PenFed, if you are a soldier you can qualify for PenFed...etc it's not for everyone out there.

I'll probably do this with my next car provided I don't buy new with a lower rate.

Heh. That's what I did. Gave a $5 donation to the Military families Association and financed my G37 at 3.9%.

Well, I looked into PenFed very well, the initial reading I did gave me the idea that if I am not in the military / government or am not a family member of a military / government personnel, then I am not qualified. I had not clue I could join that Association and become eligible.

I could have saved me about $800 in interest overall. Oh well, better luck next time for this ATer.
