Pencil trick weirdness

ok so i did teh pencil trick, it worked of course (this isant my first time) but its weird becasue when like i select 7.5 multiplyer it comes back on as like 6.5, its not always just one step sometimes it works right on.

I dont understand it.....


its a 900 athy BTW

I have an abit as well and I did the pencil trick on a 750 that I have and no matter what I do it will not over clock on the other hand I have a duron 600 that is factory unlicked and if I do the factory defult for the cpu setting's it always comes up as a 750 so I too am seeing funny things that I cannot understand... sorry I cannot help...

yeah.. the pencil is not connecting the points well. i have an KT7 and when i did a quick, sloppy connection with my conductive pen it had similar problems. i suggest that you use something that conducts alittle better.

means you have bad lines. sharpen the pencil, erase the old marks (cleaning with a little rubbing alcohol too), and redraw the sucker in again, thick and straight this time.

I have the same problem too.
FSB is changeable, but not multiplier........is that because of bad lines?

When you think you have it right, put some clear nail polish over the marks. And have some nail polish remover handy in case you don't. You can buy both for about $2 at Walgreens, Walmart, etc.
