Penalties for driving without a license in Canada?

Just wondering, what the penalties for driving without any kind of a license in Canada are? On an insured, non-stolen car that is 😀

ever seen that hockey movie mystery alaska? Well some dude porks someone's wife or something, can't remember. Anyhow the team doesn't like this and his punishment is to put just his jock strap on, skate really fast, and jump into a snow bank. So, that's probably what the canadians do as well.

Lowering the population of canada? I would think it would be encouraged. 😀

Banishment to Quebec, to forever wander among the (not quite so stinky but close) French wannabes, kinda like Cain from Kung Fu.

I'll tell you what it is in California anyway, so you have a slight clue about other places.

driving without license=mandaotry 30day impound, misdemeanor criminal penalty

You're probably looking at a several hundred dollar fine and having to pay to get your
car towed somewhere... or they may just give you a warning.

It seems like it's a matter of province. I found this page that says in British Columbia, you get 3 points on your record (and accruing so many points will land you various penalties). Look at this page to find a link to the agencies that handle licensing and transportation for the different provinces and see what their penalties are.

edit: and yeah, google would've gotten you an answer faster, time which could've been applied to figuring out your JK2 problems.

In Ontario:

<< The Fine for Driving without a valid Driver's Licence in your posession is $350.00

The Court does not accept as excuse for driving with a expired Driver's Licence, that of not having received the Invitation to Renew. It is the responsibility of the driver to have a valid Driver's Licence with him while driving.

Hey, that isn't that bad. So $350 and nothing else?
