Peltier + Water + Lian Li = Sweet System

Holy crap, now that's a rig! How long did that whole process take? I'll bet about two weeks, 8 hours a day, every day, right? Sheesh!!! Great job though. You've got guts, I've gotta say that. I'd be so paranoid about putting water anywhere near my rig. Too much money invested there! I wish you the best of luck. 2GHz.....mmmmmmm. 😀

Also, that's a really nice website, w/all the pics thumbnailed, etc. You must do website design for a living...it's really a sweet site. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
 
Very nice. I wanted to try a PC60 but could not come up with a practical way to fit everything in the box. The P4 is the key. A hot Bird requires a larger pump and more space.

Hey dude. You done a real good job on your system & web site but I wanna warn you about what you've written here:

. I began by coating the back of the board with clear Silicone RTV sealant. This stuff is a real mess, it smells like vinegar or something, and it really looks ugly when it's done.

The vinegar smell is Acetic acid. Acetic acid is vinegar and is corrosive to metal. Drop some copper or steel in some vinegar for a couple of days & watch the results!
I think it'd be a good idea to warn people not to use this stuff anywhere near any computer parts.

Not trying to argue here, but if it's corrosive to metal. Then why is it used in automotive applications like sealing intake manifolds for instance???

Just curious. 🙂
 
Vinegar is not used in the automotive versions. The amount of exposure to acetic acid of electronic components from using standard clear silicone caulking is negligible.
