Peer-to-Peer Throughput Tester?

Is there some sort of app (freeware/open-source preferable ) that will let me test the throughput between two computers on an LAN?

I'm curious to know what the max throughput is for my LAN, especially because parts of it are 100MBps, and other parts are 10MBps.

Anyone know of something?
