Pee on the floor

The six of us went out for dinner the other night to a nice restaurant. From the beginning, our meal kept getting screwed up. Not what we ordered, or not cooked right. We spoke with the manager, but he was not sympathetic. My friend excused himself to go to the restroom. After he returned, I excused myself to go to the restroom (everyone knows guys don't go to the restroom in groups). When I came back, I said to everyone, besides the poor service, the restroom was very dirty with 'P' all over the floor. My friend said that he did that on purpose. That whenever he gets poor service, he will take it out on the bathroom. He said that once he went from stall to stall putting his 'P' on every seat, toilet paper, and even the counter. I just sort of wish he would have warned me about this before I went in.

Is this a common practice? Among women too? Perhaps we have some janitor people out there?

That seems really stupid actually, if you get bad food it's probably the fault of the cook unless the server screwed up the order. If you get back attention or something it's the fault of the server, but most times neither of these people clean the bathrooms so whats the point of peeing all over the floor, not that it would be justified even if they were the ones to clean it up.

Your "friend" sounds retarded. Just because you get bad service, does not give you the right to act like an idiot. All that does is make some bus boy, trying to support his family making $6.00/hour, have to go in there, and clean up someone's urine. Think about if you had to use the restroom, and you couldn't because of some juvenile idiot.

I know the youth of today are bored and restless, but give me a d@mn break.

To answer your questions:

1. This is not a common practice among people who are not idiots.

2. Women generally have a little more class than young idiots.

3. If I were some low paid janitor working 12 hours a day making $6.00/hour and I caught some stupid little punk doing that, I would beat his dumb little @ss.

Sounds like you have some great friends!

Forgive my blunt language, but your friend is a chicken$hit. Why?
1. Somehow he thinks that by trashing the bathroom, that makes him even for a bad meal.
2. The only people who suffer are the other customers and the poor kid who has to clean the restroom, neither of who had a thing to do with the real problem.
3. Doesn't have the b@lls to tackle the real problem, which is poor service/poor food preparation.

I've never heard of behavior like that, it sure isn't a common practice among people I know.

Sometimes you go to a place that you thought would be nice, and it sucks. Maybe it is just a badly-run restaurant. You spoke to the manager, who didn't care. That's about all you can do. Don't go back, post about your experience in the newsgroup for your area, bad-mouth them to all your friends. You can save others from having the same bad experience.

I know people who have a major hemorrhage over a bad meal and make a huge fuss. Personally, I don't understand that. I'll talk to the manager and have my say, and if the guy doesn't care, oh well, I won't go back. What is the point of doing what your friend did?

Imagine if this strategy were implemented elsewhere:

Gore would still be in the bathrooms at the courthouse.
The DMV restrooms all over the country would be in shambles.
The janitor at my college bookstore would have quite a job ahead of him.
Getting pissed at your roommate would cause problems for both of you.

LOL gives a new meaning to the phrase 'getting pissed' :D

yeah, thats damn stupid to piss all over the bathroom. even at mcdonalds, its unfair to other customers who might have to bring little kids in their, its infantile and just not socially acceptable. If i ever caught any of my friends pulling that, I'd smack em around, later. now if you caught the waiter, waitress spitting in your food, or the chef spit in the food. . complain to the managment, and if the manegmant don't care.. . Of course if your more mature, you complain to the towns better business bereau, but if you don't like it, it's easy to get up and walk out, dont piss on the toilet seat, who knows, the bouncer/300lb cook might come in and catch you, and its really cool to get caught and banned from a restraunt/club

Has your friend reached puberty yet?

If so has he had a Vasectomy?

If not could you see to it that he doesn't breed?

Thanks and remember this is just MHO

I ain't gonna bother answering your question, I have a feeling you KNEW the answer already and just wanted to share the experience.

As to what SHOULD'VE been done...

Steps to satisfaction from receiving poor service/food from restaurant.
1. Inform the Server.
If step 1 didn't resolve the issue...
2. Speak to Manager on duty
If step 2 didn't work...
3. Ask the Manager for the name and number/address of the Regional Manager (bet you'll get a response from the Manager after they figure out you're serious about your complaint here)
If step 3 still didn't work...
4. Take the information about the Regional Manager and write a letter, make sure to include all the names and details. Send the letter to the Regional AND a copy to the Manager.

ABSOLUTE last resort...
Wait till closing and follow the waiter or manager home, kick their cat (it was OBVIOUSLY the cat's fault)
