I love it when the simple-minded jump up and down over every little thing in an effort to somehow prove that they are smarter than everyone else - and in doing so often completely miss the point.
The real take-away from this isn't teaching your children how to chew - as the op stupidly comments - the issue here is educating parents of the real need to properly cut hot dogs up for small children.
You can laugh about it all you want - but dozens of kids die each year from choking on hot dogs that are either uncut or cut in sections that leave the original width as is, which happens to be the perfect design for plugging a small human's throat.
but go ahead - jump up and down and tell everyone how you lived even though you ate hot dogs every day growing up, blah blah blah - we suck, what's next - a label on exhaust pipes saying "do not inhale"? etc, etc.
Way to once again miss the point.
