Peanuts in your Pepsi?

I was just on the phone with someone in St. Louis, getting a network set up at a store, and he saw one of the store employees putting salty peanuts in her can of Pepsi and drinking that. She said it's a Southern thing. I said I went to college in Arkansas and never heard of that before.

Anyone else do this? What's the deal?

Disgusting. After quitting soda cold-turkey, the thought of this makes me want to barf.

After sipping some soda the other day, I can't understand how I drank so much soda all my life. Tasted like chemicals...

I think any states that were sort of in the Confederacy are considered "South".

Yep, it was a lot more popular 20-30 years ago, but yes, I have done it. It is actually pretty good.
