Trader Joe's natural, [edit] unsalted peanut butter (ingredient: dry roasted peanuts) and a banana with raspberries and/or blueberries on whole grain bread. A perfect breakfast!

I use a similar combo as my pre biking meal.

Cookie Butter review from Amazon:

If you did not like this product there is no joy in your life and I hope things get better for you.

BTW, who didn't do their job of informing us sooner about this cookie butter stuff?

'Cookie butter' sounds like some kind of disgusting slurry invented for fat people as an alternative to intravenous Crisco injections.

preference is peanut/almond butter.

definitely check out pb2 if you eat a lot of peanut butter though. it's dehydrated pb and all the fat is removed. So 1 serving is 45 calories vs 210. Useful if you're trying to stick to certain macros. Amazon has it as an add on item.

How are you supposed to make sandwiches with that? And what do you mean by "macros"?

it's dehydrated. you take 2 tbsp of pb2 mix with 1tbsp of water. you end up with 1tbsp of pb. A lot of pb, will leave it as a powder, and add it to smoothies/shakes.

it actually tastes like pb so you can still enjoy pb&j sandwiches if you're trying to keep to certain macros.

for example, i'm currently trying to keep my macros at. At least 160g protein, 120g carbs, 53g fat. My macros are based on whether or not i'm lifting that day or not. Like on workout days I like a little extra carbs and eat less fat/protein. On non workout days I'll cut out carbs. I like to time my carb intake around my workout too. So, usually this is when I'll eat my pb&j sandwiches.

If you're carb cycling usually you'd have high, medium, and low carb days. High for intense workouts, low for rest days, and a couple of medium days. http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/the_carb_cycling_codex

there's also carb back loading, where you do 5 days low carbs and two refeed days.

there's a bunch of diets like those. the problem is regular pb is really calorie dense. pb2 is awesome if you love pb. Another alternative is better than pb. I believe it's half the calories of regular pb. You can also use pb flour. It's also dehydrated but I think you need to add a sweetener. You could use 1 tbsp instead of 2tbsp. That's the regular serving size of pb.

I also enjoy eating pb crunch on occasion lol.

PB2 and Chocolate PB2 are great for those that watch their macros. I don't know if I could have lost my weight without some form of peanut butter. PB2 worked out really well.

WHAT IS A MACRO? Some dietary term? As far as I know, it's an MS Office thing.

macronutrient. carbs, protein, fat.
1g of carbs = 4 calories
1g of protein = 4 calories
1g of fat = 9 calories

Some people will go with calories as their baseline. But others prefer macros.

Some will set up macros via percentages such as 40% carbs/40% protein/20% carbs.

Others will go with certain formulas. It might be something like bw x 1g protein, fat ~ 20-30%, remainder carbs. They usually go with stuff like activity level, bodyfat %, thermogenic effect of protein.

Does not compute. Comparing peanut butter to Nutella is comparing apples to oranges.

Apples to oranges - both are fruits, both are a round shape, both are nutritious, both have a sweet fruit inside an outer skin, both grow on trees - see, they can be compared.
