Recommend me a new digicam to buy!

Currently have an S230 - Mainly looking for something with the same features - easy point & shoot and compact!

kthxbye drunkfusker :Q

Link to specs? I've had this for a little over a year...I dunno if it's covered under anything anymore, or if it even was (bought through Dell), but the front has some scratches on it, but it's just cosmetic stuff, it still works flawless~

If you are thinking about getting into photo...i'd suggest a little more than a point and shoot. Perhaps a Pro1 from Canon. Pro1

Alrighty.

I'll post about it over there?

And talk about hijacking my own thread 😀

Excellent.

Anyways, do you recommend any sites for photog beginners? I've looked through some books and stuff, but nothing really covers digital that well...not that I've seen anyways.

They will answer any question at all. other than that...i've just started to learn from trial and error. that's the good thing about digital photography..you can take 1000 pictures...and it costs you nothing but the time.

True dat.

You use a tripod or anything like that? I've taken pics with mine @ ISO400 instead of leaving it on Auto, and the pics come out horribly blurred with even the slightest hand movement~

unless you can set the shutter speed manually, it is really hard to get night shots hand held. Even then, it is pretty tough. A tripod is a great investment. My tripod and my romote for my camera are my two greatest assets.
