PDXLAN 4.05 starts TODAY!!!

Anyone here going to PDXLAN 4.05? I am. First big LAN I've attended (previous was 45 people). I'm from SoCal, and drove 17.5 hours and 1044 miles to get here. With gas prices the way they are and my car taking premium I'm sure I could have flown here cheaper... just don't trust baggage handlers with my computer and monitor. :disgust:

I'm staying in Beaverton, about 45 min drive away from the event (near PDX airport). My fiancee goes to Pacific University, so I'm kicking it at her place. Gotta take her to dinner tonight, so I'll be showing up around 9PM-ish. Saturday, may leave for a while in the evening to go salsa dancing with her and two other chixors.

Anyone else from AT forums going? I'm at seat I19.

Yippeeeee! I'm posting from PDXLAN. Over 1000 miles and 17.5 hours of a drive. Pulled it off with stops only for gas, food and restrooms. No stop over about 5-8 minutes.

The internet connection is kinda iffy, but then again there's 500 people online. The guy next to me was watching a college basketball game, streamed from some site, LOL.

My usual games are... not being played. Only thing I've been able to get into has been UT2004 instagib (and some other strange mode). I've won a few, lost a few.
