PDA users.... do you prefer SD or CF ?

So most of the new PDAs have both of these slots now....

And yes, I figure that the CF slot may have a 802.11b card in from time to time... rendering that slot used.

So in looking at media, SD seems a bit more $$, but what are all the pro's & con's ???????????

Speed ?

Size ? (SD wins here I think)

Cost ? (CF wins here I think)

Any good deals on SD would be nice to have... hint hint.....

Well, tell me your story guys.....

SD *should* start coming down in price. When, I don't know. It's starting to look like its going to be the standard for pda's at least. This week, Bestbuy has 128mb for $30 or $40 AR.

I perfer CF, just because both my digicam and pda take it. My digicam also takes SM, and the pda also takes SD. Overall, I like CF just because its easily had and almost always affordable.

I have a Toshiba e310 which has a SD slot. I like it a lot due to its size. The only drawback in SD is if it is your only slot like in the e310. I can't get anything such as a keyboard or a wireless nic. If it has both then go with SD, I ran movies off of it just fine.

I use a wireless CF card, so that forced me to get an SD card for storage. CF is cheaper and you can get 512MB cards for $150 or so. If you don't want to swap, just an SD card.

Thx guys.... I just found a Sandisc 128mb SD for $56.99 @ Costco.... so I grabbed it. 🙂

That way I can use it and my Wi-Fi at the same time.

I didn't see anything bigger (sd)... but I'm sure they are coming.

So far, I don't have any other devices that would use either.... but that wont last long. 🙂
