PDA resolutions

Is there a PDA that supports resolutions higher than vga (640x480) while still maintaing te 3" screen size?

No - but why would you need higher res on such a small screen? You wouldn't be able to see anything!

Well - my Dell Axim X30 doesn't look too pixelated at 240 x 320; certainly passable for on-the-move viewing, holding the screen about 12 inches from my eyes. If you can find a 3" screen at 640x480 then I can't imagine any pixel problems as the pixels themselves would be so small. In fact, you'd have worse pixelation problems on a 32" HDTV as the pixels would be physically bigger!

Even a 240x320 display should be more than enough res for a 3" screen, but if you're desperate then I think you can get screens at 800x600 :

Although I couldn't find an actual product myself

Remember to reencode your video to the exact resolution on your palm. Any interpolation will give you pixelation. If you already did this, then sorry, my bad.

thanks for your help job and wpeng. I just let the computer encode the video, so I'll have to check what res it's at. I doubt it's at vga. Thanks!
