I got those Xircom PCMCIA NIC cards.. I remember that you need some sort of PCMCIA driver to be able to use PCMCIA stuff in DOS.. anyone know another way ? I dont think my computer has those cardsoft thing or whatever they were called...

You need a DOS enabler (i.e., card services) for the PC Card slots to work, and you also need a DOS driver for the NIC, plus the DOS networking OS stuff.

wow, wish I had those instruction 3 years ago when I needed to do that..... damn, I coudlnt' get a version of cardsoft (PCMCIA dos enabler crap) for my notebook.. so that idea is out..

Sukhoi, thanks for the help but for PCMCIA card to bee seen by the controller, the cardsoft type software must be loaded.. in my case, it's not available..

I was hoping that there is another way... pcmcia sucks in dos..

Ah, oh well.

Those boot disks do come in handy for Drive Image 4.0. :)

Don't know if this helps because I'm sure there are different versions but my old ThinkPad 760XL P166 has some kind of TI PCMCIA controller, and you can download the DOS stuff from IBM's web site. Might be worth a shot.
