PCIe Slots Won't Work

I just bought a Foxconn P35A-s and I flashed the bios with the latest version. I have been using a pci graphic card, but I want to use a pci express ATI 1950Pro. When I put in the express card, I get no video. I even put in different pci express card and it didn't work either. I tried both pci express slots and I get the same result. Then I even took my 1950 to a friend's and put it in his computer and it works fine.

Something I noticed: when I use the pci graphics card the mobo led goes out and everything works fine. When I put in the express card the led stays on and reboots a couple times with no video, ever. Is there a setting in the bios that i need to change to enable pci express? Am I just a n00b?

I have a 600w ultra psu and my 1950 is plugged into it. Any advice would be awesome! 🙂

The bios might have a setting for Video output. Check if its set to PCI only or something like that. I know it used to be like that for AGP cards so worth a shot.

THis is going to sound like a dumbass question but it has to be asked. Are you plugging the Pci express connector into the X1950 on your machine ? YOu didn't state that you'd already done that so I have to ask.
