Hi.
I'm looking for a network card with both WiFi and LAN (RJ45/Enthernet) support. For PCIe slot connector. I literally can't find a single one.

I need both WiFi and LAN connection. Have internal WiFi card for PCIe and LAN port on my mobo. But LAN on my mobo died recently. I have only one free PCIe to use - so I plan to get an 2-in-1 combo network card, but to my surprise, there are no such stuff. Yes, I can use external USB card, I know this.

But why there are no such combo cards on the market? Do I miss something obvious?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Well, I found this analogy utterly stupid. IMHO better one would be "Why can't I buy a sports car that's also a roadster?"

Please englihten me if I'm wrong? And WHY I'm wrong? Thank you :)

I can tell you now, you won't find one. Just buy a router or access point, or mini-PC with both wifi and multiple ethernet jacks and roll your own.

Not something you will ever find on a shelf.

Now, you can MacGyver something together on your own. Finding a hybrid solution like https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/series/interface-cards where you can get

Pop off the thermal plate and adapt the M2 M to an M2 E/A and then thread the SMA connector out the back for the antennas or use internal PCB antennas instead. Not very cost effective but, you get 10GE + WIFI if you really want to spend the money on it. It will cost you at least $100 for the expansion card + another ~$50 for the WIFI / antennas / pigtails (external) and you'll have a second M2 - M for an NVME on the card left to expand storage.

Why do you need both, on a desktop system? I could see needing ethernet for better performance, or security, or needing wifi if you can't string the cable at this premises, but not a need for both.

You can't find any dual cards because the market for them is too small. There may be one out there somewhere, but with such a small market, the cost for it would be more than most motherboards cost.

How many lanes is your PCIe slot? There are some adapters to split 4x or more lane slots into two 1x or 2x slots and then you mount the cards.... wherever you have space to do it. Doesn't make sense to me though, instead of just using USB3 the rare times I'd want to use wifi if I had functioning wired ethernet.

Thank you guys for all your help! Looks like the most sensible option would be just replacing mobo. I didn't realize that there are no such cards at all. Weird for me still :)

It's a bit difficult to explain it shortly, as this is PC for specific purposes. Machine is accessible by WiFi running virtualized OS to support (by LAN) old Netware network using IPX. May look a bit awkward but it works flawlessly for many years.
