PCIe Devices

I'm going to be building a new computer for video editing, and am wondering about the availability of PCIe devices. I will need Firewire800, so how can I hook that up without over powering the PCI bus? Is PCI-X the only option or is there something about PCIe that I'm not seeing that will allow me to do that?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Any links to PCIe 1x devices will be helpful.

1x PCIE cards are almost non-existant on the market at this point the only thing I've seen is some product announcments from I/O card makers for PCIE SATA, U320Scsi, and Fibre Channel cards I haven't been able to find any 1x PCIE cards on the market yet, I think your gonna need to wait. Also fyi FW800 only used 80meg/s of bandwith well within the specs of normaly PCI's 133MB/S so if thats your only PCI card (or high bandwith one anyways) you should be fine w/ a normal PCI card.
