PCIe 8pin pwr connector vs. CPU 8pin power connector

I accidentally plug in PCI-e 8pin power cable into CPU 8pin 12V EPS socket.THe MB is ASUS P6T SE, will it damage the board?

Considering the only difference between the two is the position of the grnd/12v . . . I can't see if being a huge deal. 12v->GRND would seem to do nothing of damage, assuming your case/psu is properly grounded.

Then again, I'm no electrical engineer. . .


Only one thing to do. . . . turn it on and see.
