PCI128 problem!

Hello all

I install my soundcard normally but the sound seems to be corrupt. Although i can hear the sound, some "whistling noises" appear in the middle of the playback... sometimes the annoying sound is unbearable!!

The card is sharing IRQ 7 with 3 other cards... could this be the problem?
irq 7:
geforce 2
pci128 (the sound card i was talking about!)
usb controller
rtl8139

I must mention that this is happening in winxp! The card is working perfectly in linux!

Thanks for your help in advance
Rok

It is certainly an IRQ sharing conflict. You should be able to manually specify IRQs for each device either in BIOS or in Device Manager.

You might have to rearrange the devices and irq's that they use in the bios. If your dual booting, you might affect you linux boot doing this.
