PCI wireless adapter?

So I have finally finished acquiring all of my new parts, but I have to use a wireless connection for my desktop. I have a USB plug-in adapter, but would I be better suited with a PCI adapter? Which will give me better range and aquire stronger signals?

Any suggestions would be great! I'm looking forward to my build next week.....
 
I've purchased a couple of these for various computers around the house and have been pretty happy with them. I like the external antenna, because you can move it around and experiment with it until you get the best signal. Just open up the included software to monitor received power and noise level, and see which location for the antenna works best.

It's only 802.11g, though. Not sure if you need n or not.
 
I second that recommendation on the Edimax. I installed mine a couple days ago and it doubled my signal strength. Definitely worth the 20 bucks. Online gaming is now possible over the citywide wireless network that I am on.
 
I always recommend PCI cards, signal is typically better, plus you can move the antenna around easier to see what gets better signal
 
I have tried several different usb wireless devices and they never get very good speed.

PCi or PCI-E will give much better results. speed, bandwidth,range, everything.
