Visiontek 9100 PCI is the best PCI card you can really find, unless you want to spend ~$120 for an FX 5600 PCI.

I purchased the AGP version of that card about a year ago from TigerDirect, same rebate deal. I received my rebate and I've been using that card since then. That was my second purchase from them; the other item was an ethernet card I needed for an ISA slot, back in Jan 2002. No problem with either purchase. The only other online seller I've used in Newegg, which is excellent as many will agree.

What do you mean they didn't work? What was the problem?

He has tried another card about the same specs, but both of them mess up his monitor on start. Any reason why this may be happening?

Is the board using 3.3V AGP and you were trying 5V AGP cards or vice versa?

How can I check to see if its 3.3V or 5V?

For all we know, he's doing something like not disabling the onboard video. Don't get a PCI card. It's a waste of money.

I'm sorry, he told me the incorrect information. The motherboard that he has : P4S533







I'm thinking now that maybe his AGP slot is actually working and that he got a video card that wasn't compatible? Is that possible? If so, how do i know if a video card is going to be compatible or not?
