Hi Guys,
I'm working on a friends computer. He has Windows ME on a Sony Vaio (Desktop) RX450. I bought a PCI to PCMCIA controller card from newegg - product link, and popped it in. Installation went smooth (Windows picked it up immediately and installed the drivers). My problem comes when I plug in a "SanDisk PCMCIA PC Card ATA." with various excel files on it (I haven't tested any other cards in the system since it's the only one he has).
Windows saw that I plugged a device in, and loaded the correct drivers. It came up as a "Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disk Controller." Next, it asked me to reboot, so I did. After the reboot, in the device manager, the "Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disk Controller" has a yellow exclamation mark next to it with a "Code 10" error:
I checked the properties for the device, and it says it has no conflicts.
Any suggestions? I plugged the ATA card into my XP laptop and it worked fine.
Thanks,
Andrew

This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. (Code 10)
