PCI Specification

Does anyone know the specification for the current PCI version 2.3? Is there any good links that anyone can provide me with the info? Perhaps what the voltage output, bandwidth, etc, etc. Also, if there are any sites that gives a comparison between the current version (which if I'm not mistaken is version 2.3) and previous version.

The reason it is so hard to find info on pci specs is that the spec is controlled by pcisig and they charge none members to purchase the spec. My guess is, anyone attempting to put this info on a web site gets smacked by pcisig.

Anyway, to answer you in part, i know that in 2.3 they did away with 5v signaling and only universal and 3.3v boards will fit/work. from 2.1 to 2.2 there were 17 changes made, the most significant of which was adding 3.3v signaling to the spec.2.1 to 2.2 summary pdf

the 2.2 to 2.3 summary isnt released to the public.

Hope this helps a bit.
