Hi, running xp 32 bit
abit p35 mobo with an e6750
i have an m-audio revolution 5.1 sound card, great quality but the company doesn't support or hasn't released any drivers besides 1.0 for this, there have been beta but they're unstable and do not work, couldn't boot after i installed a set
the only problem i have with current drivers is the mic and line in do not work, i can't use chat clients like ventrilo or xfire in game chat, creates a big problem when trying to game. Now some people have said other drivers will work, such as the m-audio audiophile 2496's drivers, which get updated frequently apparently...I'm not sure what to trust though since the 2 sets of drivers i've tried installing, (beta 5.1 updated drivers, and ev24 family vinyl drivers ) didn't work.
Either i'd like to find drivers that will lend chat client support (if anyone knows of any)
-or- i'd like to also find a way to enable the onboard sound and use it solely for my microphone, i have no much knowledge of this but i've heard many times you CANNOT do this and it creates conflicts (IRQ possibly?)
any help is greatly appreciated, thanks
